24 Feb Cornwall Water Sampling Campaign
Li4UK have undertaken a successful surface water sampling campaign across Cornwall. To reconcile the distribution of lithium contained in potential major basins and ground water systems across the UK, Li4UK targeted known sites of mineralisation and upwelling water sources.
Several localities were assessed across Cornwall to ensure a good baseline of data were collected and to test the sampling procedure. Rivers, springs and mine water drainage areas were targeted. Samples were subsequently sent to ALS Environmental for chemical analysis to test for trace metals and ions dissolved within the water. Sampling will continue throughout the rest of the country in the spring.
With the threat of the oncoming tides we had to find a more secure location to filter our samples.
